What is Brightraiser and how does it work?

Brightraiser is a Canadian online fundraising platform that helps schools, PACs, sports teams, and youth organizations raise money by selling curated, 100% Canadian-made products. You launch a campaign, supporters shop your custom online store, and your group earns up to 25% profit. We handle payments, shipping, and customer service, so you don’t have to worry about logistics.

How much can we earn? What’s the profit structure?

You earn up to 25% profit on every product sold. Once your campaign hits $500 in total product sales (excluding taxes and shipping), all orders, even small ones, earn the full 25%. There are no upfront fees, no minimum order size, and no caps on earnings.

For a limited time, you can also earn $100 referral bonuses for inviting other schools or teams.

Is there a cost for families? What are shipping charges?

Product prices are fair and competitive, especially for small-batch Canadian-made goods.

How and when do we get our profit?

Your profits from Brightraiser are calculated automatically and paid out after your campaign ends (or monthly, if it's an ongoing campaign). Here's how it works:

1. Profit Tracking

You can see your live profit total at any time in your Brightraiser dashboard. Every order is tracked in real time, so you always know how much your campaign is earning.

2. Profit Tiers

Once your campaign reaches $500 in total product sales, excluding taxes and shipping, your group qualifies for the highest profit tier: 25% on all orders, even if it’s just one order per month. This maximizes your earnings automatically.

3. Payout Process

  • For standard campaigns with a fixed end date, we process your payout via e-transfer or direct deposit within up to three weeks (usually within a shorter timeframe) after the campaign is closed.
  • For ongoing campaigns, we calculate monthly earnings at the start of each month and issue payment accordingly.

What kind of products are offered? Are they unique?

All products are 100% Canadian-made, handpicked for quality, and often not available in big box retailers' stores. We feature:

Do products change throughout the year?

Yes. We rotate seasonal offerings to keep things fresh and relevant. Expect special collections during holidays and updated core products every few months. You’ll never run the same stale fundraiser twice.

Do you accommodate dietary needs or allergies?

Absolutely. We offer a growing selection of:

  • Gluten-free
  • Plant-based

Every product page clearly lists ingredients and allergy info, so families can shop with confidence. If your school community and/or organization has specific needs, we’re happy to discuss options.

How do orders work? Do we need to collect forms or cheques?

Nope! Every campaign is fully digital

  • Parents order online through your custom link.
  • Payment is made securely by credit/debit card.
  • You never have to touch money or paper forms.
How are products delivered? Do we have to sort anything?

You choose:

  • Direct-to-home (no sorting required)
  • Ship-to-school “Direct Ship-to school/organization”, (consolidated for local pickup).
  • Hybrid (supporters pick what works for them)

If you choose the “ship-to-school/organizationl” or “hybrid” option, we provide sorting signs and reports to make the handout easy.

When is the best time to run a fundraiser?

Fall/Winter season is the sweet spot - September to December is ideal for back-to-school and holiday fundraising. That said, you can fundraise any time of year, including:

  • Spring campaigns
  • Year-end pushes
  • Ongoing campaigns that stay open until you close them
Can we run the fundraiser all year long?

Yes! With our ongoing campaign option, your store stays open and keeps generating profit month after month. You’ll still earn 25% on all orders once you cross the $500 threshold in product sales, excluding taxes and shipping.

How do we engage more parents and supporters?

We provide everything you need:

  • Shareable launch letters and reminder messages
  • Pre-made social media graphics
  • Flyers and posters
  • Optional free sample boxes to generate buzz before PAC and any organizational meetings

Campaigns that promote early, use multiple channels (email, WhatsApp, Facebook), and encourage parents to share the link with family/friends consistently raise 2–3x more.

How much work is it for our PAC or volunteers?

Very little. Brightraiser is designed to be hands-off for organizers:

  • You launch the campaign and share the link
  • We handle everything else - payments, orders, support

Most PACs spend less than 1.5 hours managing a full campaign (over the course of several months).

How do you support schools, PACs and organizations?

We treat every school as a partner. You’ll get:

Is there a minimum order or sales quota?

  • Time-limited campaigns (2–3 weeks = highest momentum)
